Next up is another film I’m looking forward to, Your Highness. The new film from director David Gordon Green (All the Real Girls, Pineapple Express) a director I like quite a bit, I appreciate a man who can jump Merlin Seasons 1-4 DVD Box Set from both the independent and studio world (quite like Steven Soderbergh). The film is a comedic parody of 80s fantasy movies in which Two and a Half Men Season 9 DVD Box Set James Franco and Danny McBride are paired together as sibling princes with Franco being next in line. The two soon begin a quest after Franco’s bride (Zooey Deschanel) is kidnapped by an evil wizard (Justin Theroux). Throw in a
The Wild Wild West: The Complete Series DVD Box Setbunch of dick and fart jokes and that’s probably the movie. The film has got terrible reviews but I liked the trailer and really dig who is involved so this is another one I’m seeing today. Not as excited about this as I am for Scream 4 but I think I might have fun. Check out the trailer below.
Thanks to Tim Burton’s thoroughly underwhelming version of Alice in Wonderland we now have slightly twisted versions of Two and a Half Men Seasons 1-9 DVD Box Set children’s tales and the newest of these abominations is Red Riding Hood. From director Catherine Hardwicke (who really should Being Human Seasons 1-3 DVD Box Set be remembered for Thirteen, not Twilight) this twist on the popular tale informs us that the wolf who stalks Red Riding Hood (Amanda Seyfried) is

in fact a werewolf. This film looks abysmal and the reviews seem to match that feeling, it has already bombed in the states so hopefully we won’t be treated to more of this style. Here’s a little making of.
In limited release there are 2 films I have had multiple chances to see but have sadly missed all of them. Meek’s Cutoff is the new Fringe Seasons 1-4 DVD Box Set film by Kelly Reichardt the director of the wonderful Wendy and Lucy. The film is a slow burning western starring Michelle Williams about a set of Burn Notice Seasons 1-5 DVD Box Set three families on the Oregon trail in 1845. This looks to be a brilliant take on the Western genre and I can’t wait to see it. Another film on my must see list is the French character dramedy Little White Lies from director Guillaume Canet
In Treatment Seasons 1-3 DVD Box Setstarring one of my favourite actresses Marion Cotillard. The film follows the secrets and lies of a group of friends whilst staying at a summer house. This looks to be a film I’d really enjoy, with an apparent strong script and cast, if I can find it, I’m seeing it. Here are trailers for these two.
Every now and then a film will come along and surprise you, it can come out of nowhere, from the most unlikely of people and it Leverage Season 4 DVD Box Set can put the biggest smile on your face. Disney’s latest film adaptation of Winnie the Pooh always had a little interest for me, the trailer was nicely put together and the posters were imaginative and strong, but it was Winnie the Pooh, a franchise Project Runway Season 9 DVD Box Set that Disney seemed to milk every couple of years to bring in the very young crowd, it couldn’t be that good, could it? Unlike recent Pooh
Hayao Miyazaki Movies Collection DVD Box Setfilms like Pooh’s Heffalump Movie, this stays far closer in tone to the 1977 animated anthology The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and more importantly, to the original stories by A.A. Milne. The film follows the adventures of Pooh (Jim Cummings) and his friends as they try to find a new tail for Eeyore (Bud Luckey) and as they search for Christopher Robin (Jack Boulter) after he has vanished.
I have been lucky enough to avoid the whole “torture porn” movement in horror cinema, only being exposed to Saw III and Hostel and Desperate Housewives Season 7 DVD Boxset not liking them for the most part (though am interested in seeing the first Saw as I rather enjoyed Insidious).
The idea of continuous gore for the sake of disgust holds no interest for me; I’d prefer much more to be grossed out in a comedy than Ken Loach At The BBC DVD Box Set a horror. Mother’s Day comes from director Darren Lynn Bousman, the man responsible for Saw II, III and IV but he was also responsible for Repo! The Genetic Opera, a film that I dug quite a bit. It is a loose remake of the 1980 Troma horror film (which I have not seen).
The film is based around what happens
Boardwalk Empire Season 2when a homes former owner, a psychopathic mother (De Mornay) with her 3 deranged sons (Patrick Flueger, Matt O’Leary and Warren Kole) crash a house party filled with 20-30 something yuppies.
This film is bad, what is wonderful about the horror of the late 70s through to the 80s (with a brief stint in the 90s) is that they Traveler Season 1 DVD Box Set had something to offer the audience more than just a few deaths and jumps, some had deep subtext about the fears that the world faced at the time, whilst others Harry’s Law Season 1 DVD Box Set were revolutionary in their style and filmmaking, it seems like all these ideas have fallen by the wayside, offering nothing new.
This of course can be over looked if the film is at least entertaining (Scream 4 and Insidious jump to mind as recent examples of this) but Mother’s Day is just dull, long and preachy.
It feels at times that the filmmakers had
Boardwalk Empire Season 2something to say about the violence in the movie almost in a Funny Games style, but the point seems to get lost along the way as the film goes on and the violence on screen seems to become glorified.
A big selling point for this movie is the fact that it has Rebecca De Mornay in the lead role as the villain, a comeback role for the actress Eli Stone Seasons 1-2 DVD Box Set I know best as starring opposite Clive Warren in the fictional film by Karl Pilkington.
De Mornay hams it up nicely in the film, clearly enjoying the villainous role (though at times it feels like she’s trying to imitate Treme Seasons 1-2 DVD Box Set Heath Ledger’s version of The Joker) and puts forward a fine performance in the film but her talent might just stand out as all the other actors in the film are terrible.
Especially awful are Alexa Vega and Warren Kole, two performers who couldn’t be believable in any situation they were thrown in (make sure to look out for the scene where Vega’s character, suffering from a brutal head
The Good Wife Season 3injury starts casually walking around and looking bored with what is going on in the film, maybe this was just a meta way of showing us the audiences reaction).

Horror movies need to give their Hayao Miyazaki Movies Collection DVD Box Set audiences a little more substance if they want to keep the genre alive. Mother’s Day is an unmotivated piece of nonsense, none of the characters actions make sense, the plot tries to surround itself with mystery but just comes off as tired and if you don’t see the end twist coming a mile off you clearly aren’t paying attention and really I don’t blame you. Too much gore, no actual movie.
I have no idea why I expected more
The Office (US) Season 8from a movie produced by Brett Ratner, I guess Catfish made me think too highly of him.
In 2007 Judd Apatow emerged as the The Starter Wife Season 1 DVD Box Set new king of comedy, with films like Knocked Up and Superbad under his belt he was doing well for himself.
He became the go to comedy genius in Hollywood, but after commercial misfires (Funny People) and critical flops (Year One) it The Defenders Season 1 DVD Box Set seems that Apatow may have been on his way out, that is until he tapped into a new market. Why not take his proven success with lewd comedy and adapt it for a female audience? For years the female comedy market has been playing it safe with the most risqué option being the trashy Sex and the City movies but Bridesmaids aims to change all that. We follow the story of Annie (Wiig), a 30 something woman whose life is going nowhere who has just been asked to be the maid of honour at her best friend Lillian’s (Rudolph) wedding.
Annie is forced to deal with difficult
Modern Family Season 3bridesmaids (Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Ellie Kemper and Wendi McLendon-Covey) and whilst watching her friend take a new step in life, Annie has to start to question where her life is going.
This film is exactly what the Trauma Season 1 DVD Box Set multiplexes needed to shake up the female demographic; it’s smart, sweet, funny and ballsy.
It’s very reminiscent of The 40 Year Old Virgin in that way, a very smart and relatable comedy but never to afraid to lose its Scoundrels Season 1 DVD Box Set audience by venturing into American Pie territories of gross out humour. The film is long with a runtime lasting over two hours but you never get bored as the film keeps throwing jokes at the audience that remain funny throughout, there are deep belly laughs in every scene.
The scene that stands out in particular is the fitting scene, if you’ve seen the trailer you’ll know it involves a little bit of food
Sons Of Anarchy Season 4poisoning, I won’t describe it in great detail but it was definitely the greatest poo scene this critic has seen since Slumdog Millionaire (or maybe a better comparison would be Zack and Miri Make a Porno).
